Reporting to the Manager City Assets the Coordinator Strategic Asset Management is a key leadership role responsible for coordinating Council’s total life cycle and service led asset management function. The role provides strategic oversight across asset planning systems data governance and organisational capability while leading a small specialist team.
This position plays a central role in developing and embedding asset management strategies, policies and plans that support long term service delivery and financial sustainability. A key focus will be shifting asset management from static documentation to living frameworks that actively inform decision making across the organisation.
You will lead the ongoing uplift of asset management including ownership of Council’s asset management platform. The role works closely with finance officers, service managers and the executive to ensure physical assets and the services they deliver are aligned and clearly articulated.
This opportunity will suit a contemporary asset management professional who understands that strong asset decisions are not just about condition data but about service needs, community outcomes and value for money. You do not need to be an engineer however you will bring credibility experience and the ability to influence across a complex organisation.
