Moonee Valley City Council is a progressive inner metropolitan council recognised for its strong commitment to community outcomes, liveability and long-term sustainability. As one of Melbourne’s most diverse and evolving municipalities, Council is focused on strengthening how investment decisions are prioritised, evaluated and aligned to community needs.

Reporting at Director level, this newly created role will play a key part in embedding a more mature and disciplined investment planning and evaluation framework across the organisation. Working closely with executive leaders and business units, the Head of Investment Planning and Evaluation will help improve the quality, consistency and transparency of investment proposals, business cases and strategic recommendations across Council.

The role requires an individual who can combine strong investment planning and business case capability with highly developed stakeholder engagement and organisational judgement. Success in the role will rely on the ability to influence, coach and guide leaders through change while embedding stronger investment governance and decision-making practices across the organisation.

Council is seeking an experienced or emerging leader from investment planning, treasury, infrastructure, economics, strategic advisory, consulting or broader public sector environments. Experience within Victorian State Government, infrastructure advisory or complex stakeholder environments will be highly regarded.
