Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director City Services is a key member of the Executive Team and leads a broad, multidisciplinary portfolio spanning infrastructure, project delivery, open space and recreation, asset planning and asset management. The role provides strategic direction across a critical service portfolio responsible for integrated outcomes that directly impact the experience of the Bayside community.

The Director City Services will play a central role in strengthening how Council plans, prioritises and delivers infrastructure and service outcomes. This includes strategic oversight of asset lifecycle management, long-term financial sustainability, capital works prioritisation and stronger integration between asset planning, project delivery and operational services.

The successful candidate will bring extensive senior leadership experience within a complex service environment, together with the capability to operate as an enterprise leader and contribute beyond their immediate portfolio. You will be confident leading large multidisciplinary teams, shaping whole-of-organisation priorities and strengthening performance, culture and service outcomes with clarity and accountability.

Council is seeking an existing or emerging executive with the judgement, leadership range and organisational insight required to operate effectively at this level. A strong technical grounding in infrastructure, capital delivery, asset management or related built environment services will be particularly valued, supported by sound financial and stakeholder management capability.

This role will suit a contemporary, values-led leader who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
