W&Co Search is proud to partner with Horsham Rural City Council in the recruitment of the Coordinator Investment & Business Development.

Horsham is entering a significant period of economic change, with major activity across mining, renewable transmission and value-added agriculture creating long-term opportunities for the region. As the major service centre for western Victoria, the focus is increasingly on ensuring this growth delivers tangible benefits while responding to pressures across housing, infrastructure, transport, connectivity and community services.

The Coordinator Investment & Business Development will connect businesses, industry, government and internal Council teams to progress opportunities, resolve barriers and help move strategic priorities towards practical delivery. The role will contribute across regional development, business and tourism engagement, advocacy and the early stages of projects that ultimately feed into Council's delivery functions.

The successful candidate will bring strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capability, with experience across economic or regional development, business and industry engagement, tourism, commercial partnerships, government or a related environment. Local government experience will be highly regarded, however Council is open to candidates from adjacent sectors who understand how to operate across complex public and private stakeholder environments.

You will be a natural connector who builds trust, communicates with credibility and can bring different interests together around practical outcomes. Given the regional nature of the role, the ability to establish strong in-person relationships and genuine connection with the Horsham community will be important.
